Children, youth and parents took part in the Washing of the Feet ceremony at St. Mary Armenian Church of South Florida. Jesus washed His disciples' feet to give an example of humility to them, and to us, and gave a new command saying, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35) Յիսուս ըսաւ, “Նոր պատուիրան մը կու տամ ձեզի, Սիրեցէ՛ք զիրար, ինչպէս ես ձեզ սիրեցի, դուք ալ սիրեցէք զիրար։ Ասո՛վ բոլորը պիտի գիտնան թէ իմ աշակերտներս էք, եթէ սէր ունենաք իրարու հանդէպ”:
JESUS lived among men and preached the kingdom of God. He spoke to everyone and taught to love God and neighbor, to be compassionate toward others, to forgive and be forgiven. He was given wisdom and authority by the heavenly Father to teach humanity how to pray. He said, “Pray for your enemies”, and He prayed for everyone, even for those who crucified Him. Christ the King came to the world, so that the world may be saved from all iniquities and follow the Lord. He said, “I am the resurrection and the life”, and, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.” Therefore, we must follow Him, in order to enter into the presence of the Father. Without the presence of Jesus in our lives, we will be in darkness. He says, “I am the light of the world.” Then let us come to His light, for only in Him we will find peace, refuge, hope, love and salvation.
